Genesee Water and Sanitation District Residential Customers can receive rebates for buying and installing qualifying High-Efficiency Toilets - Rebates are only given for toilets meeting the criteria of the EPA's WaterSense Program www.epa.gov/watersense.  Washing Machines - Rebates are given for washers meeting the criteria of the Consortium for Energy Efficiency (CEE) for High Efficiency (HE) clothes washers www.cee1.org. Wireless Rain Sensors - Wireless rain sensor models that connect to an automatic, in-ground irrigation system are eligible for the rebate. Weather-based Smart Controllers -  Some smart controllers operate based on historical information, while others operate based on current weather data transmitted each day from local weather stations during the irrigation season. Equipment cost and labor must be separated on receipt.
